Notes on... Tapas Revolution

Is it legal to marry a cocktail yet? We only ask because Tapas Revolution has collaborated with the award-laden Cocktail Trading Co to create a new cocktail menu of classics with a Spanish twist, and we'd probably spend the rest of our lives with the Sparkling Rose Margarita (pictured). Although subtle, the floral notes of the rose water add a delicate suggestion of summer and the lemon sherbet a wonderfully welcome tartness to an otherwise sweet and fabulously fruity combo. 

In respectable second was the Blood Orange & Cherry Royal. A refreshing gin concoction with a hint of warmth from the pimento dram, this perfectly light and drinkable sip is one of the more sophisticated on a menu that is bound to have something to please most palates.

Shout-out to the accompanying tapas - the excelente crispy pork belly comes in a sweet and spicy sauce and is good value at £5.95 for the plate. Also high-five worthy are the fried aubergines  — this crispy-yet-chewy-yet-melt-in-the-mouth goodness is the definition of moreish. Wedding invites are in the post.
