2015 has been quite a year for Birmingham, with lots of new places opening and old favourites reopening. Harvey Nichols is one of the latter and has undergone an impressive transformation. I went along for a look around the new store and sample some of the delights (a great excuse to eat and drink).
The shiny new store still caters for womenswear, menswear and beauty as well as a chic restaurant and bar complete with food market and wine shop.
For me, the real improvement on the previous store is the restaurant and bar area. Super stylish and a menu curated by Birmingham's own Glyn Purnell, you can dine in the main restaurant, the private dining room, or sit at the chef's table and watch your food being prepared.
There's also a secret lair for beauty treatments from the likes of Beyond MediSpa, Crème de la Mer, Elemis, Dermalogica, Natura Bissé, Environ, ESPA.
This is the personal shopping area. I am determined to move in because this is what my dream living room looks like. I have suggested it to Harvey Nichols but they have yet to take me up on the suggestion...
