If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed that I went to Croatia last week. Apologies for the holiday spam. We stayed at Apartments Pruga, a cute self-catering/B&B/apartment/villa we found via Airbnb. It’s the kind of place you see on Airbnb that has a million rave reviews with certified superhosts and you think “it can’t possibly be that good”, but it was. Before going, I got slightly excited and spent a lot of time reading the blog that Andrijana and Vanja started when they first bought the property that details the renovation, decoration and now everyday life in paradise. When you consider the work that has gone into Pruga to develop it into the chic hideaway it is now, it’s quite a feat and rather inspiring for my dream of running a Mediterranean B&B bolthole one day in the future.
Anyway. Pruga. I’ll try and let the photos do the talking… But bear in mind I took these on the day we left – the place was much tidier on the day we first arrived! Sorry Andrijana :)
The interiors at Pruga are my idea of heaven – chic but rustic, it doesn’t feel fussy at all but it has all the luxuries to make you feel like you’re on holiday! Reclaimed light shades, old wooden furniture and polished concrete floors mixed with crisp white sheets and a king size bed.
The lovely Miki.
Every morning at breakfast a freshly baked cake, bread, fresh fruit, jams and cereals. Those cakes were delicious and I’m really struggling being at home and not having cake and coffee every morning by a pool.
We can’t wait to go back in the future – and I’d highly recommend Pruga if you’re visiting Istria. More on the region in an upcoming post…
