Tforia // Beautiful curation

(Above: Parament Shop)

Tforia is a beautiful selection of home, clothing and jewellery brands. The concept behind the website is perhaps best described by Tforia themselves:

Are you happy with the amount of hours required to sift through Etsy to secure a special item? Is it easy to outbid a competitor on Ebay for a one of a kind piece?

With a selection of over 250 shops, Tforia delivers a convenient way to discover and procure fine unique products.

And they certainly deliver on that promise. It’s an absolute delight to click through the delicious website and it’s easy to lose an afternoon perusing their collection of unique brands. Here is my own little selection of their home brands:

Artist Residence – Cornwall

More than a little bit excited to be going to Cornwall next month and staying at none other than Artist Residence Penzance.

As well as their sanctuary in Cornwall, Artist Residence has similarly charming, small hotels in London and Brighton. But Cornwall is the place that has my heart – so Tom and I find ourselves making the annual pilgrimage down there.

The Gentleman & Scholar

Gentleman & Scholar

There’s something more appealing about a hotel bar than any other ordinary bar – I’m not sure whether it’s the association with being on holiday, but it feels more special somehow. So I was pleased to try out The Gentleman & Scholar at Hyatt Regency, Birmingham.

Haider Ackermann Spring 2015

As the nights are slowly drawing out and we’re getting ever closer to that elusive spring, I’m taking a look back to my favourite collection for the upcoming season that was unveiled last September. Haider Ackermann at Paris Fashion Week.

The Edgbaston

I’m a big fan of a boutique hotel. I’m a big fan of my home city, Birmingham. The two have crossed over at delightfully-decadent The Edgbaston. There’s more than a spattering of art deco in the décor, especially in the cocktail lounge and public spaces. In contrast, the rooms have a reserved, classic take on contemporary design with plenty of original features.

First Look: Finery London

Finery London is an new online womenswear brand, founded by former ASOS and Topshop directors. Aimed at the mid-market, the design-led brand has a feminine, vintage feel but also draws comparisons to Cos and & Other Stories.

Magpie On The Run

At the end of last year, I ran a competition to win a gorgeous Charlotte Valkeniers ring from Magpie On The Run. Well, good news. If you’re a jewellery magpie, then I might have just made your life a whole lot better… READ MORE

Nike Nike Nike

And Other Stories - New Nike Story
A gorgeous collaboration between a street wear stalwart and a newer kid on the fashion block – Nike and & Other Stories has lead to a renewed appreciation for all things with a swoosh.

Brand Focus: Suite One Studio

Seriously, have you ever seen crockery so gorgeous? I want to eat these ceramics from Suite One Studio, never mind eat off them. The sumptuous jewel colours ceramics are mis-shaped and full of imperfections. Perfect.

Hint of Spring

Christmas and New Year are a distant memory. I’ve been back at work for an eternity. Surely, SURELY we’re going to start seeing hints of spring? I’ve been looking forward to warmer months and getting myself out of this seasonal funk by manically pinning anything warm-looking. Join me?
